2.       GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

 

The eTrac turnkey tracking software EX300 is a friendly design for easy tracking and control services, realized the idea of plug-and-play, DIY tracking solution, economical establishment of a complete tracking center in user's own PC, without any monthly fee, using the maps that eTrac supplied or guided, there are 2 solutions for this PC based stand alone tracking methods:  

 

A). By SMS version software EX300. In this solution, a GSM modem is required, the GSM modem collect the GPS report data from GP2500T/M trackers, and transmit to PC mapping software EX300. The software uses the RS232 serial port to communicate data via SMS, ( or by RS232-USB adaptor cable if uses the laptop ). In this solution, users no need the expensive server platform, no month fee occured. The EX300 support Online Google map, MS MapPoint, Google Earth, Google Earth Plus etc. It allows the real time tracking of unlimited vehicles at the same time, showing onscreen the location, speed, speeding, time, direction, vehicle ID, history route, alarm report, moving lock, SOS emergency rescue report, different maps switching, also allow the onscreen control by control buttons, like cut oil, shut down engine. 

 

 

 

3. How it works in standalone solution by SMS:

 

GP2500T/M trackers get GPS data and send this information to the GSM modem by cellular network. The GSM modem is connected with PC, laptop, it collects all data by SMS, so this complete system can run without internet, yet it is real time. The data that collected via the GSM model will forward to the EX300 in PC and show onscreen map all tracking details.

On the EX300 software interface, monitoring people can also send command to the vehicles to control vehicles.

 

GP2500T/M can also be tracked by mobile phone for double security protection, and users can send command to control vehicles as well.

 

The new tracking software EX300 works with eTrac GPS/GPRS/GSM vehicle tracker and GPS/GPRS/GSM personal tracker, this software support online Google map ( www.maps.google.com),  free Google Earth map, MS mappoint map, and will roadmap to support the MS virtual earth map as well. A number of new features has been added in this software compared with its previous EX300, the new software has more vehicle control action, and alarm alert interface popping up like the MSN messenger to notify car owners. Users can switch over different maps just by clicking a switching button.
